Saturday, February 4, 2017 marked the end of week four of Kimberly's powerlifting training. Kimberly will compete in all 3 lifts at her first competition, and she is very pleased with her progress thus far. "I'm absolutely thrilled, I weigh 155 pounds and on 2/4/17, I squatted the most ever, 160 pounds! I'm definitely getting stronger and I feel absolutely amazing!" Kimberly's training began January 9, 2017. During that week her max barbell back squat was 135 pounds. "It's truly awesome to have the support of my Sports Performance Coach, Eric Couthen in my corner. He's very thorough and encourages me to get stronger." Her barbell bench press max is currently 100 pounds and her barbell deadlift to date is 135 pounds. Kimberly believes life somewhat resembles powerlifting, you either give-up or push through adversity, and giving-up should NEVER be an option! Kimberly loves that feeling of giving it her all, and pushing through each rep. Her favorite strength quote reminds her of her journey:

Bikini Competitor Kimberly Whitfield is already two weeks into training for her first powerlifting competition. She's feeling energized and quite pleased with her progress thus far.
"I'm really enjoying my training regimen and I'm doing exactly what Coach Eric Couthen instructs me to do. In order to train at my best, I fuel-up an hour before each work-out. Our bodies are like machines, and we get out of them what we put in them." Kimberly believes a healthy lifestyle should be easy and simple. She recommends the following:
House Salad & Grilled Chicken Breast
"I love the generous meal portions, and there's always more for later! It's not only the food that makes each visit great, but the exceptional service provided by Owner Chef Samy Rashed, General Manager Sal Aljabbary and their amazing staff. Everyone knowns me by name and that makes me feel very special!" I invite you to visit Zaytoon Mediterranean today, the HEALTHY alternative to fast-food! Tell them Kimberly sent you!
